Overdose Medication Narcan is Available

Local agencies can now distribute a medication called Naloxone (narcan®) that can reverse an opioid overdose while waiting for emergency medical help.

  • This nasal spray works in 1 to 3 minutes and lasts 30 to 90 minutes, giving responders the opportunity to call for help
  • Has no side effects

Narcan® kits and training on administration and rescue breathing is available for friends and relatives of individuals with an opioid addiction.
